Going for my first PC build, how does this look and do I need to add anything?
Here is the link to a part list that I've been working on. I already have a monitor and other peripherals.

You don't want to go with an outdated LGA 1155 motherboard and CPU. You might as well go with the latest components available for the same price.

Looks good to me.
I5 Is a solid chip, although you may want a aftermarket cooler as. They tend to be quieter, if you're not worried about noise and you aren't overclocking then don't worry. Otherwise something like a coolermaster hyper 212 evo

three things:

1, do you plan on overclock and want to have your system quiet?
- if so - add an aftermarket cooler and some thermal paste

2, do any of these three - virtualization, video encoding, rendering - matter to you?
- if not - step down to an i5

3, do you wish to upgrade your pc in the future?
- if so - haswell iX-4XXX is the way to go.

also, to consider - SSD for system /and having 2 drives helps a lot/ and a sound card /because awesome sound is awesome/...
