Custom water cooling vs Corsair h100i
Hi guys Im having some like problems not problems but i need opinions. Well i was going to buy a corsair h100i because im going to oc my i7-4770k and my single radiator is just not doing really a good job. But then I was thinking, it would look really cool if i added a custom water cooling kit such as a xspc one. But here is my thing, i heard that if you add a custom water cooling kit and use their special addivites with the water you dont have to change it out , but if you do it your self and add your own distiled water you have have to change it out every 6 months? or is it both ways for the water. well anyways here is my question, which is a good choice, yes i know the h100i is good and you dont have to mess with anything just do a simple install, but i really like the custom tubbing and water cooling system on the xspc kits. Does anyone own a xspc and have to change out the water every 6months?

I would personally just go with the Corsair h100i and not mess with custom water cooling. If you go custom water cooling, you will have to clean the water out about every 6 months. Also, use distilled water and don't use food dye. Its better just to get colored tubes. I don't think its necessary but it does looks cool. Hoped this helped. I have a corsair h100i and I love it.

You can't clean the H100i. So that will also be a problem if you use it long-term. The coolant will degrade over time and it will be a mess.

I recommend just using distilled water.
