Please help me! Gaming computer not working properly?
Okay, Just today I got my new Amd fx 8350, and I was just so proud of it, I put it into my system, turned my P.C on, and got horrible amounts of lag. I tried to play a game, and I was getting 4 fps. -.-. Shit. I suspected it was my cpu, so I did a bit of benchmarking. I used pass mark, and I got something surprising. My cpu scored in decent range of the other same brand cpus.
I curiously tested out everything else, and the problem came to my Gpu, It scored an 1100, It should of came to about a 5000 or so.
Now, I'm getting confused...
I've used this graphic card before i got the 8350, and it worked great.
So, I went on ahead and benchmarked using Unigine Heaven 4.0, I got an average 4.7 fps. With a score of 247. That's not good!

Alright, So I know there is something wrong.
So Here are my specs to help you guys out!
Amd-fx-8350!
MSI Gtx 770 4gb
ASRock 990FX Extreme3 ATX AM3+/AM3
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866
XFX 550W ATX12V / EPS12V
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM.
..............................................
So here are my possible explanations.
1.Maybe something is fucked up in BIOS.
2.I might not have enough power to supply both the 8350 and Gtx 770.
3.Incompatibility?
4.Newly Defective Part.
5. Feel free to add more.
-------------------------
That's just my thoughts, I hope you guys can help me!
Extra information. I ran GPU-Z at the time I was running Unigine Heaven 4.0, and my Heat didn't increase dramtically like it did when I benchmarked it last time when it worked. And the GPU load was spiking. Mostly sitting around 5% spiking to 25%
Thanks for reading, and hope you can help

Honestly, I think you're fine power-wise. That's a Seasonic-made 550W PSU, not a cheaply made $20 knockoff that's probably a lousy 300W with capacitors that would struggle to deal with the energy found in a potato.

I fixed it finally, The gtx 770 wasn't defective. It was a system update that windows did on the 23rd late at night. I didn't touch my computer for the next 2 days as a iwaited for the 8350, so I thought the problem existed within the New hardware. I'm nto completly sure if i can run the 8350 with the Gtx 770 Power wise, but all is fixed in my land.
Thx for help.

Okay,.so I've replaced my cpu back, and the 770 is there, and there is some system stability.
But there still is some weird lag going on during games, and the gtx 770 isn't spreading it's wings, and playing the game as it use too,
I have 3 possible explanations now.
1,The gtx 770 hardware became faulty.
2. Something may be wrong with cords, and are not delivering enough power.
3. Maybe my Windows is completly bugged.
I think my first action will be to completely wipe my computer, and give it a fresh install on Windows.
If that doesn't work, I'll check if something is wrong with the hardware.
Unfortunatly,I don't have the original box that came with my Graphics card, so I'm kinda fucked if it is broken.
Also I've already flashed my bios after replacing my CPU, and there wasn't a difference.
After rebenching it, and checking with GPU-Z, My card wasn't even trying to do anything. It wasn't going above 47* Celsius, and it's load was doing the same thing as the first time. Unfortunately, I don't have a secondary computer to try it on, so at the moment we're stuck on a guess and check.
Please tell me what you think of what i'm doing, and suggest your own course of action.

BTW, I'm leaning up towards that I don't have enough Power to supply my power hungry GPU, My GPU was working perfectly fine, before i put in the 8350.
I was wondering whether I could limit the speed of my processor,so it doesn't take as much power, and therefore check if it's my PSU not giving enough.
Please tell the me the procedures to do what i asked?

Okay, So I don't have thermal paste, but the dried up thermal paste is still on the stock heatsink, and cpu is that O.K?
And to help a bit, I just put in my dinosaur 8800 GTS, and there is somewhat system stability.
