Is the cpu really important when playing league of legends and other games such as TF2, grid 2 and minecraft?
I am building a new gaming pc that is under 600 and im wondering if i should go and buy the amd-fx-6300 athlon ll x4 760k black edition or amd fx-8350 and i was wondering if i should go for a cheaper cpu and a very expensive gpu or keep it even.

AMD Radeon has a good build, but if it is notably cheaper, get DDR3-1600. Also, a competitor's 120mm tower cooler (e.g. Masscool, Enermax, NZXT, Rosewill) will offer similar performance to the often-parroted Hyper212 EVO, but almost always cost notably less. The Hyper212 EVO is not a bad cooler, but is a bang/buck Loser. Even the little-changed Hyper212 Plus has been only $20 lately.

You want to balance your CPU performance and GPU performance. If you get too weak of a CPU then it will hold back your GPU but for most games the GPU is more important. At a $600 budget the fx-6300 is probably your best bet.
