Using the stock intel cooler?
I have a i7-4770K cpu and it came with a stock cooler. Is it okay to use it for a 4770?

yes its compatible sir but theres better ones out there for better thermal and acoustic reduction :)

Oh yes I know, I'm currently using a H100i. I just wanted to give my friend my stock cooler since his cooler seems so cheap and even worse than the stock.

Intel used to require you sending in the stock cooler along with the CPU if you had to RMA it, or your warranty was not covered, not sure about todays Intel CPUs but I've still kept mine, I suggest keeping it and let your friend buy his own cooler.

Mhm. I'll tell him that.

Um I'm sorry if my knowledge is not as great as yours. But he has a prebuilt computer so I was just making sure.
