PC turn off realy fast while gaming, not overheating.
Hello, so as title says my pc turn off when gaming, I bought it few days ago (I assembled everything myself), so I can say, first time playing and already not working :(
my Pc spec:

- Intel Core i7-4790K
- Asus Z87-A
- G.SKILL DDR3 2x4GB 1600MHz CL9 RipjawsX
- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 GHz Edition 3GB DDR5 PCI-E BOX
- XFX Black Edition 850W 80+ Gold

Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02

- I tried to reinstall windows: nothing...
- I tried to restore bios settings to default: nothing...
- I tried to turn off/on EPU on asus mb, and hybrid mod on PSU: nothing...
- I checked every plug, and even replace it if i had another one: nothing...

- Also I run CPU and GPU Burn-in test, so temp was realy high, and pc didn't turn off,
- While gaming I can hear strange noise probably from GPU is it normal (it's hearable only when ultra settings, but couldn't hear it during burn-in test)?

I Am 100% sure heat is not an issue, because if turned off after 30 sec when I tried to play AC: black flag

Does anyone have an idea what can be an issue, or how to check what is causing the issue??

Ok, so my friends card was ok, it's pretty worn out and even at 85 C pc did not restart, I found that they both need 12V, so I guess PSU is ok since it's XFX PRO GOLD 80+ 850W, MB should also be ok in that case.

I going to get my GPU replaced, and post feedback later.

1. No errors
2. First I ran OCCT for CPU it was ok, then for GPU and... pc restarted, (1920x1080, shader level 7, fps limit 9999), at 60C, (restrat limit is set to 90C)
also this strange noises wasn't the fans.
Yes I have latest nvidia driver, even tried older ones and beta.

I tried to play on build in intel hd 4600, and it was ok. Game was on for around 1h on the same graphic config (8 fps FTW!) and pc didn't restart.

Can i assume that GPU is defective?

EDIT. also after restart BIOS check fail to check GPU(red diode is on), after few restart it's working again.
EDIT2. also tried different PCI-E, still restarting

PS. Tomorrow I am going to borrow gtx 260 from my friend and check for sure.

1. Run memtest86+ for a few passes to check ram. You should get NO errors .
2. Stress test using OCCT. At default, your 4790K should turbo to 4.4 at 1.21v with optimized defaults.
Run both the cpu test and the 3d graphics test.
Is the latest nvidia driver installed?

The noise you hear from the gpu should be fan noise. If not, and it is coil whine, the card is probably defective. I think Gigabyte is susceptible to this.

50 C on CPU and 60 C on gpu is not overheating as far as i know and how can it overheat after 40sec of playing while I manualy set all fans to max

The GPU noise could be coil whine, or maybe just an issue with the fans. When it's making the noise, try stopping the GPU fan(s) with your finger and see if the noise stops. Don't stop the fan for more than a few seconds.
Anyway, post a screenshot of your temps whilst running furmark and Prime95 or something similar.
