I can't get audio to work via Asus crosshair v formula z.
The only way I ever got audio was by plugging HDMI to my vg248qe monitor, but then the 144Hz is lost and resolution wont work correctly. It just says it cannot identify the problem. The 3.5mm audio jacks are not recognized and if i go to sound config 6 digital display audio channels appear not connected, they appear to be HDMI digital devices under properties.
After I kept on trying, I found out audio also works when I use USB headphones, however I would like the sound to just go via the audio jack since the USB headphones were borrowed.

Yeah, if the hardware fails there's not much you can do other than get new hardware.

So even the 3.5mm jack on your motherboard doesn't work? If that's the case, it sounds like you have a faulty motherboard.

No it doesn't work. Thanks for answering but I guess there isn't any solutions besides changing the motherboard
