Connect HDMI devices to monitor?
I have this Asus monitor:

I can connect my PC via HDMI just fine to it. However, I tried connection my phone (LG Optimus G E970) via HDMI and nothing came up. I turned off the monitor, turned off my phone, conencted phone, turned monitor on, and then turned phone on. It still didn't detect the phone. My phone connects just fine to my two HDMI TV's, but there's a reason I need to connect it to my monitor. What should I do?

Your phone doesn't have an HDMI out, it has an MHL out. I am guessing you have an MHL cable which has what looks like an HDMI connector on one end. Your TVs probably support MHL, but your monitor does not. You will need an HML to HDMI adapter to make this work. I have linked to one below.

I forgot to mention, I already have an adaptor made specifically for my phone. So far, my monitor is the first HDMI display to not read it. Even game capture cards are able to read it fine.
