Solved Forum question

Yup this is my first time build,so imma be needing some detailed help here,with the PSU a bunch of cables came along so these are the cables:

Is it ok if i chopped that unneeded part off ? If you do, put electrical tape over it. I've done that with mine, and they work great... but the only reason I did that is because I knew I would be able to order a set of cables for my PSU from the manufacturer if I ever needed.
That being said, if you ever upgrade your graphics card to a card that needs two 8-pin connections, you'd be screwed. Consider just taping the extra pins back out of the way?
