Of course, happy to help.

If you want, instead of posting a new thread, you could just PM me - I'd be happy to help.

Is it ok if i chopped that unneeded part off ?

If you do, put electrical tape over it. I've done that with mine, and they work great... but the only reason I did that is because I knew I would be able to order a set of cables for my PSU from the manufacturer if I ever needed.

That being said, if you ever upgrade your graphics card to a card that needs two 8-pin connections, you'd be screwed. Consider just taping the extra pins back out of the way?

Use that first set of cables - one of them you put in the six pin and the extra two, the other you leave the extra two out.
