gigabyte 970A DS3P does not support 290x crossfire?
i have a Gigabyte 970A DS3P mobo. i was trying to crossfire 290xs (Club 3D 290x and Sapphire 290x). when i connect the second card, the pc will start for split second and then turn off. I need to know if it is the mobo's problem.

PSU: Thermaltake 1375W
CPU: FX 8350 (Stock)
Ram: 8GB

Hello,

The motherboard is not recommended for a high-performance Crossfire setup (the second x16 PCI-E slot has only 4 PCI-E lines, so that will make also the first card to work in x4 configuration; also, having only x4, the slot cannot supply enough power to the second card, hence the shutdown).

To rule out a GPU problem, take out the first card and mount the second one instead.
