gtx 760 firestrike score low
http://www.3dmark.com/fs/2526587
This is the firestrike test result. I got
Graphics Score:
5656 Physics Score 7948
Combined Score 2328
overall score 5143.
My system is :
intel i7 950 3Ghz, 12Gb memory 1600MHz
zotac gtx 760 2Gb at 993MHz.

When I watch the compare with other systems section on the 3dmark website, I see that 188 results is at (overall score) 4800-5599 range and 287 results at the 5600-6399 range.
I am wondering why my system is at the lower range, and why there is a group of people has lower scores compared with the other group?
Is there anything I can adjust? Is my score normal?
Thanks!

you have nice hardware, i wouldnt worry that much about benchmarking scores!, gaming performance matters the most after all!

Thanks all the people for help. I have run the unigine heaven 4.0 test the result looks fine compared with some online result.
FPS:28.3 Score:713 Min FPS:13.6 Max FPS:63.1
System
Windows 7 (build 7601, Service Pack 1) 64bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz (3073MHz) x4
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 9.18.13.4052 (2048MB) x1
Settings:D irect3D11, 1920x1080 8xAA fullscreen, Ultra, Extreme

So I think the gtx 760 is fine. the 3dmark test may more depend on other hardware and the system software config.

your mobo is a very good one! what is the exact psu model you have?since you succesfully run benchmarks it cant be an issue also! mind the gpu temps though the better they are the higher the gpu will clock itself. boost clock for your gpu is 1059mhz isnt it?

The psu is CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-550VX 550W ATX12V V2.2 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

When I see the boost clock, I run the unigine henven 4.0 test and watch the frequency in cpuz, it is around 1000MHz most time, 1097 max. And the gpu temp is always 81C, maybe a better cooler or larger target temp can increase the score. Because the nvidia boost 2.0 tech always try to increase the frequency until the target temp is reached.

another thing you must have is vsync always disabled when benchmarking! even if it appears fps never exceed 60. also latest drivers may optimize perforance. also have windows power plan through control settings at high performance!

I have checked with CPUZ my memory speed is 1600MHz, which 3dMark did not show correctly. I have turned vsync off, the score did not change too much. Since all the comparing results shown on the 3dmark all use gtx 760 and i7 950, maybe the problem is on the motherboard and the psu.
I have a asus x58 sabertooth motherboard, and a 550W psu. Any comments?

That seems about right with that old-ish processor. My i7-875K and HD 7870 OC produced a score of 5087. Your graphics score of 5656 is abit better than my 5608. Our cards are comparable and our CPUs aren't far apart.

well i dont see anything wrong with your results! final score depends also on the cpu and although it is quite strong, it cannot compete with the latest i5 - i7! if you want better results you can overclock. it will increase your performance. you need a solid psu unit and a better cpu cooler. also half of your memory is reported as 1333mhz. are you sure they are running at 1600mhz? cpu z will clarify that!

Hi,
The compare with other system section on the 3dmark website is all about intel i7 950. Even with the same i7 950, my score is clearly less than a lot of similar old CPU systems.
The 3dmark did give a strange frequency of my memory, I will check it with CPU-Z.
