MSI Radeon R9 280X 3gb vs. ASUS GeForce GTX760 2gb?
I have been looking on multiple websites at opinions and benchmarks and I am still confused. I am using an i5 4690k in my build. I heard nvidia works better with Intel CPUs. but the AMD GPU seems stronger. Can anybody help clarify?
Also, the place I am buying the components from has ASUS GeForce GTX760-DC2-2GD5 and Asus GeForce GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5. Can anybody tell me what the difference is?
Thanks in advance.

MSI Radeon R9 280X is €249 and the asus is €279. The ASUS Radeon R9280X has better specs. The ASUS also has 2 dvi ports. What can I do with 2 dvi ports? Should i still go for the MSI?

The 280x falls between the 770 and the 760. Because the AMD cards are so aggressively overclocked outta the box, the 760 does a lot of catching up when both oc'd "bawlz to the wall". tho I'd still have to give the 280x the performance egde. Factoring in the price difference however (760 averages $35 cheaper), it's pretty much hard to say either one is a "bad choice" unless the Mantle/Freesync versus G-Sync/ShadowPlay/CUDA/PhysX things factor into the picture.

As for what works best with what, in single card configurations there's not much difference but oddly enough CF works better on Intel builds than AMD. THG did an article on this phenomenon about a year ago.

The MSI 280x - $285 / 1000 Mhz
MSI 760 - $250 / 1085 Mhz

Asus 280X - $310 / 1000 Mhz
Asuis 760 - $240 / 1006 MHz

In either case, I'd have to take the MSI .... much quieter and faster core clock on the 760

The 280X is the stronger card it competes with GTX770 in performance. AMD and Nvidia GPU's work equally well with Intel CPU's! Nvidia is totally unrelated to Intel and works equally well in AMD or Intel builds.
