Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z and Asus Xonar Phoebus PCI-E slot positioning.
The question is as following, my soundcard currently sits in from of my GPU. Can i install my soundcard into the last PCI-E slot or those are GPU only and i have to use only the PCI-E x1 slots?

The idea behind this is to have my Phoebus as far away from my GPU to let it breathe. On my previous Gigabyte MB the soundcard was above the GPU, now my due to my Phoebus being in the way the GPU sits at around 5°C more hotter while gaming.

Thanks for the answer, there are 2 power cables there each with 2x8 Pin PCI-E connectors, i can do cable management with no problem there. I wasn`t sure if i could put my sound card in those slots thinking they might be GPU only, as for fans i already have 2 on the side of the case blowing straight into the GPU/soundcard.

You can stick them in the long red ones, yes. I'd put it in the far bottom one, cable tie a fan to the HDD cage and also mount one to the bottom if you can.

This is how it looks -

You may also need to use a Molex to 6 pin connector to power the sound card, as the cable doesn't appear to be long enough -
