Transfer components from a prebuilt HP to a new case
Hello,

I'm currently using a prebuilt HP PC (HP Pavilion p6-2302eam), with a few upgrades (upgraded to a 600W PSU and installed a GPU [AMD Radeon HD 7790]) - and my computer is getting rather full.

I was hoping to buy a new case and simply transfer all of my components over, as in ALL of them. I'm pretty new and would love some assistance.
The issues I can see are the fact that it is prebuilt, therefore some components may be actually sealed/unique to the case.

Any help will be appreciated; what case to get, if a new MB is necessary then which one, any details/properties to find out etc.

Will post pictures below.

Thanks.

The motherboard in your p6-2302 is a uATX form, the same as mATX. So when looking for a case just make sure it is mATX compatible, which most are. The parts shouldn't be sealed, the motherboard will be screwed down though.

As for a specific case it's all down to the individual tastes, style, budget, extras etc. They can be as little as £20 or into the £100's. If you want I can have a look at some for you, if you let me know your budget, GPU make (Gigabyte, ASUS etc.), PSU make, hard drives/optical drives/ssd and any extra fans/cooling you have.

If you want to look yourself some things to look for are, GPU length, PSU length, drive bays and most importantly uATX/mATX compatible, some cases are full towers but may still have stand-offs for a mATX. Hope this helps.
