Computing running slowly all of a sudden.
Hi,

As of about a month ago, my computer started to run slowly, it is a relatively new computer being only one year old. Start-up and opening programs is OK, as is accessing folders.

Alt tabbing into games, However, takes much longer than usual (Single player and multi player) , Multi player games also stutter every 10 seconds or so. When skipping a Youtube video, the video pauses for a few seconds first, and sometimes when entering full screen it freezes first and then goes into full screen. When watching a twitch.tv stream it stutters every 10 seconds.

None of these things happened prior to a month ago. I should mention that this may have occurred close to a time when I turned off the pc at the plug (I am aware I should not do this).

Upon doing ookla speed test: 43 ms, 19.39 download, 6.33 upload. There are 4 devices on the network. Another pc on the network has none of the above issues. I am connected via ZyXEL adapters.

Specs:
Gigabyte GA-Z77-G3H
Intel Core i5 3570k
Nvidia GTX 770
Corsair XMS3 8gb ram
Seagate 2TB ST2000DM001 HDD
Sandisk 120GB SSD
EVGA Supernova NEX750G PSU
Windows 8

Does anyone know what may be causing this? Sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section I wasn't sure where to put it.

Thanks!

1) Run the Malwarebytes in the safe mode to see you got the infection or not. http://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/
2) If you install the new hardware or software then uninstall it, and try the PC.
3) Check the cpu/GPU temp with HWMonitor http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

I tried these but it still runs slowly.
1) I scanned my computer in safe mode and found one file, located in google chrome, I quarantined it but I still have a problem.
2)No new hardware since I built it, I uninstalled some recently added software, still not fixed.
3) Cpu temp: Value: all around 37°C Max: 49°C Gpu temp: Value: 33°C Max: 36°C

Thanks for the suggestions nonetheless.
