okay try the headset with the old mobo/ sound card.

yeah it works with my old computer, but i think it may be a driver error, i downloaded driver tuner and it says i need an audio driver for my sound card but you have to pay for driver tuner to download it

wow what bull. yeah that either means the drivers are needed or the sound card isnt working you have another headset or earbuds you could try your new computers sound with.

well i dont think the sound card is defective because it has a light on it to show if its on and its working, but idk
i tried with some basic apple earbuds but those didnt work either

it sounds like the mobos sound isnt working then and it needs a RMA. You could ask them on the phone if this is a common issue or something but this sounds like its defective.

yeah idk but the soundcard has a light on it that shows if its on and it is

i would call tech support or something and ask them if you really have to pay for the drivers. this sounds crazy its working but no sound. maybe the port isnt working. you have it plugged into the headset port right.

yeah i have it plugged into the front headset and mic jack, and the weird part is that it acknowlages somethings plugged in, it just doesnt know what it is

so you sure you cant download the drivers for free. try updating all the things first and seeing if that works.

is your sound card plugged into the mobo, have you tried the headsets with the mobos audio this would rule out a headset issue, tried the sound card in different slot would rule out a sound card issue.

the soundcard is built into the motherboard, i have an msi z97-g45 and it comes with a sound blaster soundcard, my last computer had a sound blaster soundcard and the headset worked fine
