Which option for a good gaming monitor: 32" 1440p, 34" widescreen or 28" 4K for maximum immersion.
Hi,

My new gaming-only build has an i7-4790K, 16gb G.Skill Trident @ 2400mhz, ASUS Maximus VII Hero, 2 x Samsung Evo SSD raid0, and 2 x Sapphire R9 280x Toxic crossfire. I'm a pretty lousy gamer with slow reflexes

yea, crossfire should give you better fps at 1440p, in 4k they wouldn't even get over 60 I think

Hi,

I'll keep using my 27" 2k Dell for now. I have to get the cooling sorted out in my build anyways. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a 34" widescreen though! No 4k for me; I think widescreen will ultimately give better immersion than 4k resolution will, while my crossfire setup should be able to run at a decent framerate at high quality settings in widescreen...

a 1440p would be better, for 4k your cards won't cut it imo, at least in 1440p you'd get over 60fps
