Can I put 2400mhz ram on a msi Z87-G45-GAMING with a i5 4670k and a gtx770 having a 650w psu 80 + ?

Higher DRAM freqs can add some FPS, it's not a major rise in FPS but 1600 to 2400 could be 10-15 maybe, depending on game, it is of primary help in other things like multi-tasking, video, imaging, VMs, and other memory centric tasks, and with prices what they are it's sort of ridiculous to 'settle' for 1600 when 1866 and even 2133 are often the same basic price

Really, not really hard though, I've run through countless setups, XMP profiles are insanely easy to use. So don't worry about it. However 1866 is a good medium, what lukaboki means when he says they have the same performance is the higher speed bandwidth the RAM runs at the higher the latency, meaning the timing between when it send data. So do to that higher latency the longer it takes to send data, but it sends more at a time.

ram at 2133mhz and above are 1.65v in order to reach such high speeds. you can run 2400mhz but you will need to overclock your cpu in order to run it at their rated speed, through anabling xmp. anything above 4ghz will do! gpu dont play a role on this one but you will need a solid psu for a stable overclocking!

The GPU and the PSU don't matter.
The RAM operates at a voltage of 1.65,which exceeds the recommended wattage for the 4670K,which is 1.5V.
You can use the RAM,but you will have to reduce the voltage in the BIOS if you want to use this RAM.
And you don't really need 2400MHz RAM,you will get the same performance with 1600 or 1866 MHz RAM.
