If it's going to be JUST for gaming then go with a i3-4130, if you're going to be video editing or something like that, stick with the 6300

Looks good, only thing I don't know about is the PSU (correct me). I normally use something like a 600w PSU but I don't know the pull from AMD architecture. What is the price of the total system? Looks great and should run everything fine.

The total price is £849.78.
In dollars that's $1410.59.

It will be very good for gaming, but I wouldn't call it a 'budget' build:)
If you are open to change, the Core i5-4690K would crush the FX 6300.

it also crushes it in price

Value?

Not really its $140 more and even though it may perform better, there is no need to spend the extra money for a processor that wont make a huge difference

*facepalm*
Intel CPUs' cores are WAY stronger than AMD's, so even the quad-core 4690K would CRUSH any (or almost any) octo-core CPU from AMD, especially when overclocked.
Also, Intel uses the 22nm manufacturing tech, which is faster than AMD's 32nm.

yes but most people dont need it. for any sort of gaming as long as you have at least a quadcore it doesnt matter

I was thinking of upgrading the motherboard and processor later on (at least 3-6 months after the PC is built) but to start of with I am going to stick with my current setup (board and CPU) as it's not too expensive.
