Gpu fan and temp
i have a gtx 660 pny(its like the evga reference design) and on stock fan speeds it reaches 84c on games like far cry 3 on ultra settings .so if i increase the fan speed to 74%(card max by pny) will i damage my gpu fan or will i reduce its lifespan and how much will it effect ?on 84c on stock its 60%

I think I already said no.

The speed slow down is to protect your ears, not the fan.

Never heard that one.
The fan can't run any faster than full speed.
Never heard of full speed hurting an electric motor.
They are designed to do full speed.

A speed control can only slow a motor from it's full speed.

Reference cards always run hot
