i am currently running 2x Gtx 550ti in SLI . Now i am looking for another upgrade but cheaper and i have found Asus R9 270x as best for my budget. But i am upgrading for future , so i was worried if next games like GTA V for Pc could be horrible and could be more worse as AMD drivers i have heard suck.
Did amd drivers had problems when GTA IV was released ? And is it possible that game could be unplayable due to AMD's bad drivers ?

GTA IV pc ports was bad, the fault is not really AMD.
Drivers seems like a hit and miss. Some people don't get any problems at all with drivers but someone else with the same model card does. Most of the time, only problems gets posted online.
Don't get fooled by MSI's "Military class components", it's marketing.
Sapphire is a good brand for AMD. Currently, their Vapor-X for R9 280X, 290 and 290X are one of the best air cooler.

Also I would like to ask if sapphire is good brand ?
I only trust gigabyte , MSI and Asus. I have had worst experiences with cheap brands like Galaxy ( died 3 times and didn't got any replacement under warranty).
Is sapphire good brand ? I will go with MSI berceuse of its military class components.
My build -
Phenom ii x4 960T @ 3.7 with 6 cores
8 GB G skill ripjaws ddr3
Corsair TX 750w PSU
Cooler master HAF 912 advanced case
MSI 970a g46 sli/xfire motherboard

Nobody can predict or foresee the future , lots of people complain about AMD drivers IMO because usually its more people buying the low end stuff as AMD's stuff is good and cheap ( for performance ) on the Nvidia side of things you don't listen to these reports as less people buys the low end stuff for them moreover on Nvidia's side you pay a premium for just the Brand with no performance benefit so yeah AMD are fine I guess.
For AMD Cards I'd take Asus>Sapphire>XFX/MSI
