need some advice on some new parts
i fried my gpu about two weeks ago and have just gotten the cash together to replace it heres a list of stuff i plan to do to my pc but need advice if its a good idea

current specs

i5-4460 (quad core/ 3.2ghz)
asrock h81m-dgs r2.0
single stick of ddr3 4gb (samsung)
intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 (1gb)

heres the upgrades i plan to do

Kingston 16GB (2x8GB DDR3) 1600GHz 1.35V RAM PC-12800

Geforce GTX 650 2GB (same as the last card but with an extra gig of video ram [gddr5])

the reason for the 16gb's of ram is all the builds ive ever had have pushed 12gb on medium usage and on a heavy slog they punch 14gb's - 15gb's

Yes better, MSI has good quiet cooling on GTX GPUs, so good choice there. Get don't get anything lower than 1600Mhz/CL9, lower CL and Higher MHz= better.

Even with just 8 GB of RAM, my WEI scores included 8.5 for the RAM (also the CPU) and that's because of the impressive clock speeds, CAS, and latency clocks on my RAM model. Just shop around for a high-quality 2x4GB RAM kit.

i run a few peaces of software that have "issues" some would call it a memory leak. instead of offloading onto the hard drive it offloads onto the ram and the processing flood fills the ram fast if you don't kill the program before it hits the ram cap it bsod's the computer faster then a faulty driver

How did your other builds use 12 GB on normal usage? My old 12 GB RAM configuration on my previous motherboard never exceeded 7 GB, even when playing Titanfall, BF4, or Crysis 3.

You don't really need to cut down on GPU just to get 16GB memory, get 750 Ti or 270X if possible with 8GB, only if the rig is for gaming. If rendering is the purpose, 16GB makes sense. Don't understand 80%+ usage of memory (16GB) while gaming.
