Dual Core Pentium Problem?
I have a dual core pentium 2.7, 2 1/2 GBs Ram, 600W PSU, would it be worth getting a good graphics card like a GTX 750 Ti? There is one on sale and I was wondering if I should get it.

I plan on buying a new computer one part at a time, I would like this graphics card. I am wondering if it could help my awful computer that I have now?

The bottleneck from 270x would be huge. Let alone the 280x/285. The 750ti/R7 260x is yout best shot for now :p  Unless you plan on upgrading your CPU soon?

You can play in high resolution but with low quality. Yes, it will bottleneck but it will depends on your satisfaction. Just don`t play the game with OSD (FPS) running so that you will not see the framedrops.

buy that card man its a good one you can play new gen games smoothly with it however with pentium your pc will experience cpu bottleneck
4Gb ram is minimum and add a 4gb stick later....

So even with a better CPU and more RAM that videocard wouldn't be able to play high res games?

It will be good for your demands now. If you have the right money it is OK to buy. But if you are planning to upgrade and play those demanding games, you should opt for better GPU like R9 280`s.
