does a case have to be elevated a certain ammount to have psu mounted fan down?
i have the coolermaster haf 922 case and i currently have my psu with the fan facing up because the case is only elevated like a half inch from the table its on and i didnt know if that was enough room for the psu to breathe if i put it fan down.

is there a certain height the case has to be elevated? or would it be fine if i switched it to fan down.
(btw there is no filter at the bottom of the case either)

It should have rubber feet on the bottom of the case, that is more than enough as long as you are not putting it on carpet.

You can go fan down. Just about everybody does. A hard surface like you have is the way to go. I have carpet so I put my desktop on the floor but on a nice looking board.
