Hello Angels,
I am about to fork out a bit of cash for a PC. After some research I came up with this build.
I would use my PC for gaming mainly, maybe a bit of streaming, video recording, but not really video editing and the likes. So the question is, if you have any suggestions regarding the build to improve it while maintaining the same or very similar price range.
All comments are welcome, keenly awaiting your ideas.
Also a question. I find the asus z97-a a bit on the expensive side. What is the difference between the 97-a and the cheaper 97-p, 97-c, 97-k, 97-m-plus etc models?

The problem is that intel motherboards are expensive. An AMD fx-8350 would almost be equal to the i5-4690K in performance. You could get it and a motherboard and save more then 40 dollars.
Also a 750W PSU is slightly overkill but it wouldn`t hurt to get one if you want.

Thank you for the suggestion. To be honest I prefer Intel, but am not averse to getting AMD. The thing I wonder about tough is if 8 core is doing anything in any of the PC games. I mean I might even have picked a processor with 2 cores as opposed to 4 if it had better gaming performance. I am not entirely clear on the subject tough, I do not know any of the AMD processors and how well they perform.
Edit: I usually look for singe core performance. My understanding is that that is the best indicator of gaming performance. My understanding may be wrong however. Also not too keen on buying a 2 year old CPU....
You said that you will be doing a bit of streaming and for that more cores are very good ( even 2 year old cores
)But its your decision.
If you want some really good cores you could always get a https://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646g3258

A 750 watt psu is a total overkill for your system get a 500 - 550 watt psu enough for your system and avoid the corsair cx and get seasonic or xfx .And motherboard z97 M is micro atx ,z97 C and K doesnot support SLI.
Thank you, I updated the build with your suggested PSU.
I am not really into overclocking, but I might consider doing it it the future. Would the 550 cover the build even if overclocked?
if you dont OC the card and the processor then 550 watt is more than enough but if you do a heavy OC on the card and the processor then you better buy a 650 watt psu your system at heavy OC will draw uo to 500 watt so a 650 watt psu will give to good headroom.
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-caps... excellent PSu made by Super Flower.
