What is my next order of business in upgrading
I purchased a refurbished gateway dx4860 about 2 years ago and I went about the endevour of upgrading it. THe original specs were
I5 2320
8gb rag
1tb hdd 5400 rpm
radeon 7350
oem psu

I then installed a new cooler master 550 watt gold psu and and zotac 650 ti boost 2gb card.
With what I have should I continue to upgrade the ram to 16gb or make any other purchases for this system ? or just save towards my next system in the future? I use this system primarily for games but did get it because It was a good deal at the time

As a technical sales specialist for AVADIRECT, I would invest in an SSD.

Samsung makes a great model (the EVO series), and you can pick up a 120 GB or 250 GB model from around $140 to $260. You will certainly increase your boot time, and they are super-quick! You will just want to move your operating system on to the SSD.

Thank you!

8 Gigs of ram is fine atm. I personally would start saving for a new system as the main thing that you need is a new processor and a new mobo (But a 7200 rpm HDD or even better SSD would be nice).

Just my opinion.

the processor could use an upgrade but i would recommend you save for your future build .. and 8gb of ram is enough for games so no need for upgrade because you wont see any difference in performance trust me .. just save for the next build
