graphics card help
Hey guys I am new to this forum, just wanted some advice on upgrading my graphics card. I have an old system and am currently using a Radeon HD 4870, just wondered what would be the best graphics card to get with my system, thanks in advance.

a new up to date card is nice for the new stuff on them over your card but with your older build there may be a point in the cards power that may be overkill on it like said above the r9 270 may be the max card to go on it ??

If your system (MoBo) supports that, then yes, its at par with GTX 580 which's better than GTX 750 Ti or about the same as 270X, while costing less. But the only drawback is no DX11 support. I'd go with newer tech and 270X is better as its a single GPU, ie, less driver and heat issues.

looking at that chart your card should still do fine except for the older dx 10 part of it

It'll be a nice upgrade, no swashbucking FPS increase but a 15-20 FPS increase is good enough IMO.

With my system being so dated, would I even notice a performance improvement by upgrading my GPU?
