Monitor makes popping noise as screen attempts to turn on, HELP
Hi there. I'm not sure if I'm in the right section, however I will give it a go here. So awhile back my 24" synaps lcd just decided to not work. What happens is the screen will attempt to go on but instead make sort of a charged popping noise and go black as this cycle continues over and over until I just unplug it.
I have done little research and most threads indicated to capacitors. However, upon opening the back of my monitor I noticed all the capacitors looked fine. Mind you, I am not savvy with this at all, so I'm not sure where else to go from here. All I know is I am tired of using my tv as both a monitor and television, and hoping I can get the monitor up an running again if possible.
PS. I noticed this monitor came with a converter/adapter of sorts that also needs to be plugged in. Perhaps this could be faulty as it was always running hot? Sorry if I butchered the actual names, as I said, I'm new to this. Any help would be appreciated. If need be, I can upload some pictures of it.
