not getting good performacne on games
I bought R7 250 2 GB DDR3 graphics card. I knew it can not run next-gen games in high quality but still I am not getting good performance in games
I played Crysis 3 and it was not giving smooth FPS as I expected, was playing it in Medium settings at 1366*768 resolution and was not able to get 30 FPS average game was lagging at many locations. Same with AC Black Flag game was lagging in some places (At medium quality).
I watched a lot of benchmark but it is not performing what it said.

This is my guess: PCI Expressv1.0 it bottlenecking the card or it could be the PSU

My pc specs
AMD 2.91 Ghz Dual Core Processor
M2N68 AM Plus Motherboard (PCI Express v1.0 16x )
2 GB DDR2 RAM
450 W PSU (It's zebronics)
R7 250 Graphics Card

So guys any suggestions ?
I know my PC is very old and I will upgrade it soon

As the other said, RAM is a bit of an issue, and its fairly cheap, though to be honest may be worth looking at "barebones" packages to upgrade RAM, MOBO and processor all in one go.

More importantly however, if you are just looking at RAM, then i think from that motherboard then it doesnt even support DDR3 RAM its so old. May be wrong though.

Thanks

agree ddr2 ram is so outdated plus a dual core CPU isn't good either

Yeah the ram is a huge issue here 2gb of ram just isn't good enough anymore
Should I upgrade to 4 GB DDR2 RAM or do I really need DDR3 ram which will solve this issue ?

It should at least help it 2gb of ram is just awful these days you won't be able to run any game good

I would not be surprised if the lag is due to the really low amount of RAM you have. 4gb of ddr3 is the minimum I'd recommend someone.
