A query about gtx 760 OC
Hi guys, so i got my new gtx 760 OC from Zotac and tried it out on Uningine 4 to see what result i would get .

I ran the uningine with all settings at ultra in 1080p this includes 8x AA, extreme tessilation, Ultra quality etc.

Here is my rig

AMD phenom II x4 b60 3.3ghz
Zotac GTX 760 OC 2GB
Asus m4n68t-m le v2
8GB RAM
PSU - 500W

here are my results from the benchmark

Average fps - 30.7
Score - 777
Min fps - 12.4
Max fps - 70.7

Can someone tell me if this is a decent benchmark result for the components I have got?

Also if anyone spots something in my rig that could do with an upgrade to get the best out of the GPU etc. let me know I am asking for opinions here! :)

Thanks

Ok great, I will get that motherboard and the Intel I5. Thanks for the help!

Oh right I see that. Yea parts can be quite a bit more expensive there. The i5 is still an excellent CPU, a lot of people don't really see any need to go bigger than that.

Yes that motherboard does appear to be the exact same.

Could you give me a link to the motherboard you are talking about and this Xeon CPU as well ?

Your PSU has enough power, but not sure how good of a PSU it is.
Your cooler might work, if it was compatible with LGA 1156 or LGA 1155 it will be.
If not though the stock cooler does the trick, the ones Intel gives out with the CPUs isn't the best but it isn't so bad. Just doesn't work with overclocking.

Yes the RAM should work fine, you won't need better RAM.

Intel does have better offerings at the moment, you might consider getting a Xeon CPU though. It has the performance of an i7 CPU for the cost closer to an i5.
you might also look at getting an x97 chipset instead too, just a little newer board. They currently have H97 and Z97 boards out.

I have been thinking about getting this MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard with the I5 4670k. would this work? and would my cooling system and PSU need an upgrade too? Also, can I transfer my current RAM which is DDR3 8GB to the new motherboard?

Get any 990fx chipset motherboard and you should be OK with the 8320
