im immiently due to upgrade my gfx card to a sli setup from 1 gtx770 up to 2 780tis but dont know which one to pick i have 2 choices and theres nearly 200quid difference between them. Im aware that the 900 series is due out very soon and may affect the price of the 780's but the feedback iv been reading is the 780ti still will be the better setup. these are the 2 choices below im jus wondering is the slight upgrade worth the 200quid

Keep in mind that with two 3GB cards in SLI you have effectively 3GB of VRAM.
SLI setups have the GPU performance to handle higher resolutions and detail settings, but this means the VRAM which was suitable for a single card isn't really enough in SLI.
Nvidia accommodates this by making a 4GB version of the GTX 770 and a 6GB version of the GTX 780.
3GB of VRAM is already suggested as a minimum for Watch dogs with ultra textures:

If I were looking at an SLI setup with current generation Nvidia cards, I would be looking at GTX 780 6GB models rather than GTX 780 Ti cards.
The GTX 980 may be slightly slower or slightly faster that the GTX 780 Ti, but it has 4GB of VRAM.
AMD already released the R9 290 and 290X with 4GB some time ago.
I would consider this a minimum for high end systems, especially if looking at resolutions above 2560x1440.
From the leaked specifications, the GTX 980 has a TDP of 180W.
Based on the GTX 750 Ti, this is likely correct.
This may or may not be a consideration for you, but it means your power supply can be 200W less powerful with two GTX 980 cards than with two of the 250W cards on offer at the moment.

No one really knows how will the 980s will perform yet. But I thinking of buying two 780TI as well today. They are in newegg.com for 559 each after rebates and a free borderland game. They are the Asus 780TI DC2 which they are supposed to be really quiet. They are the cheapest Ive seen them. Plus two 780TIs should plenty of power to keep you gaming for years. They only constrain might be the 3GB
