Right Angle 24 pin ATX power connector safety?
Would soldering a 24 pin ATX power connector be unsafe on an ASUS MAXIMUS VII FORMULA? In theory it should be fine, but I want to know if it sacrifice anything in the process.
Ninja edit: Also is there a way to take the pins out/cover them and paint it black?

well.. i know it is not that simple to solder/desolder a board. maybe you should try it out on an old broken board. see how it goes.

wanting it to look as nice as possible might actually ruin the board if not done right. good luck though, personally i would not do it nor do i have the skills and guts to do it.
the most i would do is bend the cables :)

I agree, I probably have a few boards I can lab rat-ify but bending the cables only looks so nice and can detract fro the look of the machine overall if it is the only non right angle connector.

It is kind of inconvenient to have it straight up when I plan on making the build look as nice as possible, having it at a right angle would help that.
