Which graphics card should I get?
Long time lurker, first time poster. I started picking out parts for my pc and I'm torn between two cards. I'm somewhat new to stats on GPUs so I really don't know which would be a better buy (performance-wise) and I thought I'd ask you guys for help.

This card was my initial finding:
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-n770tf4gd5o...

Then I found this one:
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-gtx780tigam...

I plan on doing heavy, graphically intensive gaming and some production (3D modeling, mixing, video editing). Primarily the first though.

Then there's the new nVidia cards that are coming out and I'm considering one of those as well.

Any help is much appreciated ^-^

a gtx 970 should be relatively better than the 780 and if your budget allows you then i would suggest you get it .. it would suit your rendering tasks

the cardss you ask about is good enough for what you ask but as they recommend you could wait a bit if you have the budget and get a 900 series card instead .. but if you dont have the budget then those cards should be just fine for games and rendering

do not get either of those cards at least for a couple of weeks. go to toms front page and look at the headliner articles and check out the new nvidia cards released today. prices are going down all over the place and the gtx 770 and 780 are now end of lifed and no longer being produced. you cann expect those cards to drop quickly as sellers try to get rid of inventory

Look at either the GTX970 or GTX980 cards depending on your budget for graphics.
