I don't particularly like the designs of all the non-reference 970 cards, most of the last series' cards looked better. The MSI Gaming one looks kinda nice and is one of the best cards overall, with great cooling, noise and performance figures. The Asus Strix card is maybe the best looking one, and also has good cooling noise and performance. Those 2 would be my favorites to get probably.
Problem with Gigabyte's card is that it's huge. Doesn't look too interesting either. Otherwise, all the performance/noise/temps figures are outstanding. EVGA cards are very fast but look dull as well, and cooling and noise is slightly worse although still good. The Galax and Zotac ones are crappy for sure. Dunno about the Gainward Phantom, haven't seen any tests yet.

If you're going to go with reference then they are virtually all the same, just pick the brand you like and go with it. If non reference then again go with the brand you like the the flavor with the highest clocks. Personally I would go with Asus or EVGA, I've had a 560ti/670FTW/780ACX with EVGA and never had any issues.Am gunna get one without a warranty so am looking for the best one that you can't suspect
atleast am still asking tho if i can use the warranty
i can return it if it came Dead
Why are you buying a brand new card without a warranty? That seems odd
The warranty comes but i live in a different country so i dk if i can use it here or not
