Asus Direct CU II R9 290 VS MSI Twin Frozr GTX 970
First time posting here so bear with me. I'm not sure if this has been answered or not but i will try it anyway. I just bought a R9 290 and then right after that 970 came out. The R9 290 is still in the box and i can bring it back. The question i have is should i return it for a 970 or just keep it. From what i
read it seems to be on the same level if not higher. Also if it helps i will be doing 1080p gaming one monitor maybe upgrade to three in the future not sure though. Thank You in advance

As if this chart tells the whole story. It doesn't, with the GTX 970 you'll also get a card that is cooler, quieter, uses less power, offers full DirectX 12 support and access to exclusive graphics settings like DSR, MFAA, TXAA, FXAA, PhysX, HBAO+, and Adaptive VSync.

970. The DCU2 model of the 290 is very bad

The 970, IS better in every way too the 290. cooler, faster, cheaper... If I was in your situation, I would go ahead and return it and get a 970, when they come in stock.
