gpu died? help diagnose
ok i have so far rma a motherboard and bought a new 850watt evga g2. the newboard was a x58DGSO2 im thinking maybe the graphics card maybe the issue

i have noticed when i turn the computer on it wont go into bios wont post or anything black screen. but on the graphics card it does not get hot it is a radeon windforce 280x. it only gets warm near the power plugs but not at all warm near chip or memory.

could this be the dead part?

or cpu? the cpu however does get warm

Does your computer beep at all or any error codes? I'm guessing not.

Does your graphics card fan run at full speed or just runs at normal speed?
If you have another graphics card you can try to put in there to make sure everything is ok, that would be good or another desktop that you could put the graphics card in to make sure it works, that would be good also. Or possibly test the graphics card in a friend's computer if possible but anyway.

How long have you had the R9 280x for anyway?
