Worth the upgrade? 670 sli to 970 sli
I currently have 2 evga gtx 670s ftw in sli. and I am considering upgrading to 2 msi gtx 970s sli I have a 1440p monitor and I was wondering if the difference in power between the two cards is worth the money. also is a 750w power supply sufficient for two 970s?

Should be a pretty hefty upgrade, you could probably handle some 4K gaming with 2 970s. A decent 750watt should be enough, max the cards use 200 watts or so(overclocked) so 2 would be 400 leaving up to 350 for the rest of the system.

I have been looking at reviews for the the msi 970 and it seems to have much higher power consumption than the reference model around 300w at load for one of them. So would i still be able to handle it with only a 750w?

Get a single 970 and see how it performs, it should be more than enough to drive 1440p. If you want more performance you can always drop in a second 970.

THe difference in VRAM alone is probably worth the upgrade for the resolution but the performance upgrade will also be good
