ASUS Gtx 970 STRIX vs Gigabyte gtx 970 G1 Gaming?
I want to know which one you would pick between THOSE cards... i have a gigabyte gaming 5 motherboard and as those cards are red... i wanted to match the color scheme so... which one would you guys recommend? Is it truth that i can play in 1440p on an 1080p monitor with nvidia new technology?

Thanks.

I ordered me the Asus 970, because of its passive cooling feature and because I thought it looked a bit better than the MSI Gaming and the Gigabyte. The Gigabyte is also a really long card. On the other hand, it has probably the best results in terms of performance and cooling, although the differences aren't big with the Asus and MSI cards.

The technology you're referring to is DSR, it takes high resolution and then downscales it to 1080p. It does affect the performance of the GPU a lot though, you can probably only benefit from that feature in games where you get more than 100fps with 1080p resolution.
