Just Stepped up from EVGA 780 to 980 ACX 2.0. What products does this version have?
As far as blackplates, and future water cooling....is this card capable?

I have the 780 dual classified EVGA. And this seems to be water cooling capable if I chose to, which I will in the future. Will my 980 be the same?

I also bought the backplate for this off EVGA's site for the 780 classified. Looks good on it! Will these be available for the 980 in the future? Thanks!

Ohhh I see. Yeah it is capable of having a block attached to it. You can take the air cooler off but it will void your warranty.

no i think u mis-read i currently have a classified 780, and its superclocked. I bought it for those advantages plus its slightly better cooling. Now that the step-up program only offers a non superclocked ACX 2.0 980, i will OC it myself, but I planned to watercool my entire case down the road, I wanted to make sure the ACX 2.0 version of the EVGA 980 is capable to have a water block attached to it.

Yeah it will as long as EKWB makes a block for it (which they most certainly will). If you want to put a Classified cooler on it I don't really see the point when you could just get a custom loop.

Although a cheaper alternative to a custom loop is mounting an NZXT Kraken G10 onto it.

well I am only being offered the ACX 2.0 (non-SC) with the step-up program. Will this version have any of that?

And will this be water-cooling capable. I just need to take the fans off like the other cards..?

There will most likely be a 980 classified backplate as EVGA is well known for their predictability and continuity when it comes to their custom coolers and models. There always has the be a Classified version.
