PC to TV via HDMI.
Hi I have a newly built PC and it looked fine for onboard graphics via VGA 1080p on my 42" vizio. but I bought an HD7950 sapphire OC and am now running it via HDMI and the desktop and other things are very pixelated..like the league of legends loading screen is very pixelated. Once it game everything is crystal clear but outside of gaming it looks bad. Not sure what is wrong. I had to turn oveescaling up in CCC to get it to display correctly.

You should look on the TV. My TV has it listed as "just scan", but it may be listed as something else on your TV. Once your TV is taking the input and displaying the image without any scaling, you can turn scaling off on your CCC settings, and everything should be clear again.

So I tried it on my 47 inch in the living room just fine Via HDMI..not sure the issue. Over scan Stoll all the way up but the desktop isn't all zoomed in and lol looks fine on menu..

Gotchya yes I did have to over scale because right when I plugged it in it was smaller and had black bars. So overscaling fixed that. Should I not over scale in CCC but do it on the TV itself??

This is most likely a scaling issue. Look in your cards control panel, and make sure there is no scaling. Most the time HDMI connections come with automatic scaling, which causes issues on a PC. You also have to make sure on the TV settings, you have some variation of direct input, or just scan, without any scaling on it. This is one issue that makes HDMI annoying. It is a TV connection, and most things default to TV scaling.

I believe so I can check when I get back. But it should be the latest. I downloaded the auto detect tool when I installed it yesterday but I can try running it again..I'll try to get a picture once I'm off work

Hello,

after installing the HD7950 did you change the screen resolution? You have to make sure it's set to the native resolution of the TV.
