It seems the Twin Frozr 5 is amazing, but so is Gigabyte's newer version of the Windforce. What cools better? Length of the Gigabyte doesnt matter for my case.
When you bring up core clock, you bring up boost.
No. ore clock is important.... it's the place where the boost starts.

1050 Core boosts to 1178 (+128)
1140 Core boosts to 1279 (+139)
1325 Core boosts to 1501 (+176)

Just like your car, you want more power, you step on the gas, the car responds. If the game wants more power, the Boost 2.0 feature manages to clock bringing it up as far as it can within power and temp limits.Thats exactly what i thought. So to be honest Core clock isnt that important.

MSI is usually 5 or more dBA quieter but this time they tied, at least in Guru3D reviewhttp://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_geforce_gtx_97...

But the Gigabyte ran cooler 68 versus 60 ... MSI usually runs warmer as that's how they keep the noise down but this time Giga did very well. In the thermal imaging tests, the Gigabyte topped out 20C lower than the MSI ... and incredible achievement.
However the MSi had a big win on core clock ... OTOH, Boost and Memory were almost identical.

Incredible overclocking card .... 43% OC !!!
But i heard MSI has fan issues.
Correct me if i am wrong but core clock is the idle speed and boost clock is gaming or under load speed right? So it doesnt really matter that core is bigger?
