thx so will this cable work for me http://www.walmart.com/ip/V7-6-DVI-Male-to-Male-Cable/1... ?
Sorry, the link is bad.. takes me to the Wallmart start page, but the cable should look like the DVI-D Dual Link male picture... pins on both ends.. and no pins on the sides of the spade pin. A DVI-D Single Link male cable will also work but if you want higher resolutions for gaming, video editing, etc. the dual link is best.

Get this DVI-D Dual Link Male Cable

You need a DVI-D Dual or single Link cable... Dual link supports higher resolution.
DVI-D dual or single link cable will fit in a DVI-I port... but not the other way around... that's: DVI-I dual or single link cable will not fit on DVI-I port)
