SLI 760 or 970
Just built my first gaming rig about 3 weeks ago. not too into the scene so i did not know about the 900 series cards coming out. im wondering if i should buy another 760 or sell mine and buy a 970 with the possibility of going 2 way 970 in the future.

i have a corsair 750 watt and i know that can run 2 way 760's but im not sure about 2 way 970's

what would you guys do?

Also if you got an EVGA card they have a step up program that lets you upgrade just for the price difference in the first 3 months

The SLI 670 will have a raw FPS advantage on the 970 but have half the VRAM so it depends on what resolutions you plan to game at in the future, at 1080p 60 Hz you couldn't tell the difference anyway because they will both be above 60 Hz. I think a 970 now and another later would be the more future proof plan.

I don't get it, why didn't you just get a GTX 770 instead of a 760? Since your comparing a $250 graphics card to a $350 graphics card.

To answer your question, a GTX 970 would be best then sling them in the future. Since you get future technologies and more powerful gpus.

Sli the 760's if u don't record gameplay, because recording with 2 sli 760s reduce fps by a HUGE amount, like a 20%-40% decrease. Get a 970 if you always record and put it on YouTube and stuff like that

Of course you can nothing has ever been implied otherwise. You can do 3-way SLI with the GTX 970 and it has a TDP of about 150 watts and just less than 200 even while overclocked so a decent 750watt should be able to had 970s SLI. I would get the 970 then SLI later as that 4 gigs of VRAM will help in the future.
