Help! First Upgrade
Hello everyone!

I have had my computer for almost three years and I think I am due for an upgrade of at least my graphics card, and adding another hard drive.

I have never upgraded a computer before in my life but I am happy to learn

I have been looking into different cards but I'm not sure what to get going with, especially after reading rumors that a game I want to play is asking for a card with at least 4GB of RAM, which is a shock to me as my current card has 1GB and I have been pretty happy with it.

I would like something decent that I wouldn't have to upgrade for a while. I believe in making a steady investment.

My current computer set up is:

XPS 8300 Intel Core i7-2600 Processor (8MB Cache, 3.4 GHz)
12 GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHZ
AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR5

and my Hard drive is a 1.5TB serial ATA 2 at 7299 RPM and I am down to 600GB which is dropping fast as I am doing more graphic and video work.

If you need any other information I will do my best to provide it for you.

I would appreciate any suggestions, and hope to get a good conversation going!

Thank you so much for reading!

The PSU is a stock Dell 460w.

I was hoping to not spend more than $400 at the most for a GPU and harddrive. [/quotemsg

what will be your budget for an upgrade ?

at this moment a good GPU will help.

I will recommend gtx 970 (330$) if it suits your budget.

Plus what the make and model of your PSU?
