I have spent several weeks researching parts and their prices for building my first PC, and I would like some feedback on my choice of components. Some of the components may not be as cheap as they would be elsewhere, but this is because I live in NSW, Australia, and the quality outlets here are limited. Also, my dad is getting me these parts, and he can't get his head over anything more complicated than picking up parts from the local store. Here are some factors/considerations I have made:
1.Will I need additional fans if the most process intensive games I play are TF2 and heavily modded MC?
2.I don't mind playing games on moderate settings
3.I don't plan on overclocking my computer now, or in the future
4.Should I get a pre-built custom computer instead? A good competitor is the first tier intel one in the following link: http://www.msy.com.au/SYSTEMS/INTELAMD-Gaming2.pdf
My own custom computer specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty H97 Performance ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
CPU, Memory and Motherboard bundled subtotal: $426.39
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($39.00)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($61.00)
Video Card: Asus Radeon R7 260X 2GB DirectCU II Video Card ($155.00)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($79.00)
Power Supply: Corsair CSM 450W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($105.00)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer ($22.00)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($104.00)
Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WN781ND 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($12.99)
Grand Total: $1004.39
If you make a modification to my build, please try to stay ~AUD$1000 give or take $50 (If possible, please convert foreign currencies to AUD)
Sorry for the long post

He is in Australia, not the US.
Corsair CX PSUs are pretty shite too.
So is MSI cheap G41 boards.
Avoid them.
