My Alienware pc acts strange
So, I am having problems with my alienware. I can play games on it for an hour or so and then the screen flickers and goes orange for a full minute. Afterwards, i get an error from directx and my mice is stuck in the middle of the screen.

Please help.
Sincerely

Have you overclocked the card? Temperatures seem fine. Is this happening in every game or just specific ones? Have you tried manually updating/installing directx?

So,I have been trying to fix this problem for 2 months now. After an hour of gaming, my gpu gets between 64-71°C.
Sometimes, I get the directx error code and my screen starts flickering and doing weird. Is it possible that my screen is the problem because I'm playing on a LG TV.

If it crashes, my screen colored in a random color, from orange to black to green with vertically lines.

Pc specs may come in handy so:

gpu= radeon r9 280x
gpu= i7 4280k
ram=8gb
power supply=850W

Sounds like a faulty graphics card but what temperatures do you reach when gaming after an hour and what is the card?

You can download a software like HWMonitor to check this.

Aslo, run the onboard diagnostics to see if there is an error code:
As soon as you turn on the machine, keep tapping F12 key until the one time boot menu comes up, then select the diagnostic option.

I believe that there is also the Alienware autopsy diagnostics that you can download from their support website.
