In the beginning of the Summer I bought a GTX760 to replace my now 3-year old 550Ti. To my dismay, most games seemed to handle great but certain CPU-intensive games seem to bring it down. I'm not sure if it's bottleneck or just the CPU showing it's age, but in games like Assassin's Creed IV and Planetside 2, the action can sometimes get too intense and the framerate drops down to 30-40 and sometimes even bellow that.
I've spoken to certain friends of mine, and one of them was certain that the motherboard is the issue since it's an ASrock 880GMLE and my FX6100 was a "Bulldozer" so it needed a better chipset one. The question now is, should I upgrade to an i5 with a new motherboard or should I move onto a newer AMD motherboard to hopefully improve my processor's performance. My budget is currently limited as it's my last year as a student and I have to conserve money for all sorts of stuff, but I've always been annoyed when I make a purchase to have to upgrade soon afterwards, so please, tell me what should I do to improve my gaming experience, and if buying an i5 with a new motherboard is the better option, It'll wait but I will get it eventually when I get some expenses out of the way.

I'm good. I have a single 760 so there's no need for SLI or Crossfire. I needn't overclock either, I was never into that sort of stuff since a friend's videocard broke and I'm not very keen on experimenting. Thanks for your help, I've begun collecting money already and I'll ask for any computer-related stuff at Tomshardware in the future. Really appreciate your assistance
Yep, glad we could find a solution.

With the help of a friend who used to work building PCs, we found this processor which is slightly better and about 15 euros cheaper than the altech.bg one you found. The motherboard he told me to get is this Asus B85M-G, socket 1150 due to us having a significantly lower budget and higher prices here in Bulgaria. I am going to try to sell my AMD with the motherboard to get part of the price down by around 100 euros. Before I do any purchase, I'd like your opinion on this lineup me and my friend chose and if it's the best for its money (motherboard is around 60 euros and the i5 is ~190).

So I've got a few options we can run through.
I've found an i5, thats about 53 Euros cheaper than the xeon(still super expensive for an i5 4570, I feel bad for you)
http://www.altech.bg/en/product/35332
As for the motherboard for the i5, I've found a cheaper b85m pro3 from Asrock, it will work well with the i5 has usb3, sata 3, and pcie 3.0
http://www.altech.bg/en/product/42874
These two products equal almost the cost of the xeon alone.
For a cheaper alternative, we can look at the AMD line of cpus.
The FX 8320, is about 60 euros less than the i5. The performance will be rather similar, although the i5 will beat out the 8320 in some games due to its more powerful cores.
http://www.altech.bg/en/product/31923
The motherboard for the 8320 is a Gigabyte 970 ud3p, it will allow overclocking of the 8320 if you ever would like to do so.

This board is about 16 euros more expensive than the intel motherboard.

Ah, well that certainly looks like a great choice but sadly, it's a total ripoff here in Bulgaria. The $249 price is just ridiculous for such a beast, but sadly if I buy it here it comes around $330, which is almost $100 on top, not even considering the motherboard. Ordering from the states would be really expensive too, so it would pretty much add up to that price. I know I'm a really hard person to consult since I'm from all the way around the world, but if you could suggest something that wouldn't bottleneck my 760 and is around an i5 level, I'll be perfectly fine with it. I've always hated how it's so much more expensive to buy something here. The 760 I bought came around $310 whereas it's around that Xeon's price in the US. So please, if you have any other suggestions (not that I'm not going to look for a cheaper Xeon here), do leave them. I'm quite thankful of your current effort and I hope we can find some acceptable solution.
Are you able to get something like this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
It performas like an i7 4770, if it's too expensive, I can help you find a different model.
For that cpu we can go ahead and pick a cheaper motherboard since we don't need to oc.
For the motherboard something like this will do: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H97M%20Pro4/?cat=CPU

Thank you for the quick response. I'm already looking for a good i5 at a reasonable price since I need to change the motherboard as well, but I'm wondering on which should I pick. There's so many different ones around the same specs and yet some are so much more expensive than others. I am looking for a 4*** category one, not the 3*** but if you can aid me in picking the best one, I'd be in your debt
