GPU Overheating? Computer keeps shutting down during gameplay.
Hey all.
I just recently built a new PC, and just took it for its first gameplay spin. After about 30 minutes it shut off, attempted to start again, then shut off again; it continued this until I manually shut it down.
I think it is the GPU for several reasons:
1. I opened the case and the GPU is extremely hot.
2. My old PC started doing the same thing, and the only components that were brought over from it were my GPU and PSU.
3. It occurs during gaming.
Are there any solutions, short of just buying a new GPU?

What program would you recommend to check the temperatures?

well look at your temps during use to see if your theory is true, which does seem likely.
