Hey Oxprime,
I have a 5820k on a ASrock x99 Killer MB with 16 megs of gskill 2400 ram. I am using a powercolor R9 295x2 and a 34inch LG 34um95 which has a Ultra wide 34440 x 1440 native resolution and win 8.1, a 840 evo 1 tb SSD and a 1,300 watt EVGA PSU. I have had great luck with this set-up and the graphics look just awesome. I have not benchmarked any games, but everything runs just perfect at the highest possible settings. My system is not overclocked and it runs very cool no matter how long I am gaming or what I am running. Just a great combo for the time being until 4k is more of a standard. Good luck

If you want G-Sync then you need N-Vidia

Also the difference in the benchmarks at 4k is small IMO, also seeing as the 970 has only just released I would expect performance gains in the near future as updated drivers are released.

Since its Maxwell 2.0, you may be right. Which would be awesome, it hasn't really happened significantly since the GTX580.

Here is a review, And as a whole the R9 295X2 performs better. At 4k resolutions, the R9 295X2 defiantly proves itself as the better option, dominating the GTX 970 in areas.

Is it worth the extra $100? That is up to you to decide, for me it defiantly is.

Thought that said SLI is better then crossfire, but the R9 295X2 does pack it's might.

but maybe i will go with the 1440P ASUS ROG with the G-SYNC.. so what now more powerful for 1440P Monitor?

SLI is superior to Crossfire in many ways.

If the performance is similar, then always choose the better dual GPU solution.

Not to mention the GTX970s are so much cheaper.

But the R9 295X2 have a liquid cooling so is more cooler than GTX 970 no? and because of this he gets more FPS

I am not disputing as I had not looked into, would just like to read any articles. I have linked to one I have just found which does support what you are saying. Seems odd though as in theory you would expect the 980's to be faster
