750W too much?
Hello, I currently have an i5 4670k, 8 GB DDR3, and an AMD 7850HD. I am soon going to be upgrading to the Sapphire R9 280x and I only have a 500w PSU so I am going to be buying a new one. I was originally set on the Corsair CX 750 Modular PSU so I have some room for upgrading in the future but do you think this is too much? I'm trying to avoid running my power bill up as much as I can. Or should I stay with this one?

I wouldn't recommend Corsair CX or RM series, they are problematic. The HX & AX series are good choices. I would recommend this PSU $49.99 ON SALE.

Computer components only use what they need. You could buy a 1000w PSU, but if your components only need 300 watts, that's all that will be used. For a 280x, a 500 watt PSU will be fine. I'd like to know what PSU you have just to ensure you have a quality PSU. Also, avoid the CX series from Corsair. They have cheap capacitors. If you stick with Corsair, buy the TX, HX or AX series. If you switch brand, go for Antec, Seasonic or XFX.
